Meet Nellie, the official mascot of the Pittsburgh Riveters SC!
Nellie brings energy, curiosity, and fearless fun to every Riveters appearance. Most of all, she loves friendship bracelets, soccer, and her fans.
Her name is inspired by legendary journalist, world traveler, and Pittsburgh native Nellie Bly, who helped change the world through courage, curiosity, and fearless reporting. Her famous journey around the world in 72 days proved that nothing was impossible. Today, that same spirit lives on in the Riveters’ Nellie, who proudly wears #72 in honor of that historic voyage.

Appearance requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. While we do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible, appearances are subject to availability and approval by our team. Once your request is approved, we’ll send a confirmation email to the contact person listed.
