PITTSBURGH (Aug. 25, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riveters SC was recognized as the Central Conference Organization of the Year for 2026, the USL W League announced this afternoon.
In its second year of operation, the Riveters organization made numerous strides on and off the field while on the way to a repeat of the Great Forest Division title and a first appearance in the Central Conference Final. The team on the field made a huge leap forward from Year 1 to Year 2, improving its regular season record from 6-1-3 to 9-0-1 and improving its goal difference over the 10-match schedule from +15 in 2025 to +24 this season.
Off the field, F.N.B. Stadium again was rocking during the W League season with an average attendance of more than 4,200 fans per game, one of the best totals in the league nationwide. The Riveters were easy to find for fans who couldn’t make it to F.N.B., as the team again was one of the few W League sides to have all its home matches televised through a partnership with SportsNet Pittsburgh. And the club remained involved in the community with the launch of programs such as the Riveters Job Shadowing program, which provided a chance for high school and college-age young women to get a firsthand look at careers in sports.
One club from each conference was honored by the league, and the Riveters were joined by Salmon Bay FC (Western), Eagle FC (Eastern) and Asheville City SC (Southern) as this year’s honorees.
The organizational recognition comes on the heels of players Lola Abraham and Piper Coffield being honored as Central Conference Standouts to cap the season, and the Riveters are already beginning preparations for their third season on the field in 2027.
