PITTSBURGH (March, 19, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riveters SC will add another new attacking player for 2026 with the addition of University of Oklahoma forward Hadley Murrell for the upcoming USL W League season.
Murrell, 22, just completed her senior season with the Sooners, where she helped the team to a second straight 10-win season and their first appearance in the Southeastern Conference Tournament after moving over from the Big 12.
“We are delighted to welcome Hadley to Pittsburgh,” Riveters head coach Scott Gibson said. “She will bring an immediate impact to our attack with her pace, power and ability to shoot. She has had an excellent career at Oklahoma and will fit into our environment perfectly.”
An everyday starter for the Sooners for her last three seasons, Murrell was both a finisher and a playmaker with 10 goals and 13 assists at Oklahoma while earning multiple all-conference academic honors. Hailing from Prosper, Texas, she was a decorated high school player and with the Dallas Texans in the ECNL before heading to Oklahoma.
The Riveters continue to close in on the start of their preseason this May, as they look to defend the Great Forest Division title and make a return to the W League playoffs in their upcoming second season.
